Ah ok. I use 436m summer 208m winter. The mounting bolts are fair bit taller than the 340 caliper so I'm reckoning a bit too much of a squeeze annoyingly.

Will these fronts fit behind 17" wheels? Seen a set of these calipers for sale but they've been so hot the blue turned dark blue, almost black! Does anybody have a good reason not to go for them?

No reason, they're excellent if they're in good condition. Never heard of discoloured blue Brembo calipers before? - Pics please!

They will clear some 17" wheels, depends on spoke design/clearance:

BMW Styles 379, 380, 381, 382, 383 & 655 are all proven to clear.

If they have turned black they have had a hard life so would need to be cheap in case seals need changing, otherwise should be fine.

Ok calipers arrived today, now just to decide if i can live with the colour or change it to something not so shouty!....they do give a nice contrast as you can see on car they came off below, just not sure its for me as yet and did plan to paint them satin black with new stickers but in 2 minds.

Below on M135i they came from...

Shame they're not Phoenix Yellow; that tone is too much imo Ian.

Agreed stickers are now off an im in process of blasting and painting satin black :).... fronts are done will sort rears this afternoon if phone stays quiet and get a couple of pics.

Next thing will be what to do about stickers, never really like the ///M on these so now they are off so its either BMW or Brembo logo I think, maybe a combination of both will see what I can find, colour wise im no sure probably dark silver or something as I like the stealthy look :)

Ok busy afternoon sandblasting and painting the calipers satin black as below, they look much more to my subtle taste now just need some new decals, im thinking just plain BMW text in Silver maybe ?

They look great!

Silver BMW text would be suitably subtle. Or alternatively full Brembo logo on the fronts, and just the Brembo icon on the rears?
