For the sake of putting my shopping bags down for five seconds while I lift the boot lid, I have avoided this mod.
Then: N54 E93 335i and N54 E82 135i
Now: C63 Coupe

Please do not do this mod, its very hit and miss if it actually works or not.

I know people's views on this mod is varied.. I have found something that even the cold can't beat, I'm not sure the ins and outs of what this guy has done, but instead of mounting springs on the struts, these are mounted under the top of the boot and still looks fairly easy to close... that car needs a wash not boot springs
