Thanks for the quick reply, I have 261 m sport wheels 18", the problem seems to be the rim has a smaller diameter near the face of the wheel but widens so I think some spacers will sort the problem but I have no idea how to tell what size.

I was going to rush around and try to buy some from anywhere but i don't really need the car at the moment and the weather has turned crap so I'm going to look into this and try to order some on next day delivery for a not so ridiculous price.

The Mrs isn't impressed I have no car now! Haha

Ah ok, it might be a squeeze but spacers might be ok, however i think your going to struggle to get the 370mm setup under most 18's but good luck!, i know on mine there is less than 10mm between caliper body and inside of wheel rim and your caliper will be 15mm further out for the larger discs so it certainly wouldn't fit under my 208m wheels.

As a temporary measure without buying spacers you could try just stacking washers on the wheel bolts between hub face and wheel mount face to simulate spacers, of course do not lower car onto ground or drive anywhere! its just to see if you can get clearance and see what thickness of spacer you would need, only issue is its fiddly to do with bolts rather than studs and also as wheel wont be on the centre bore location it might not be quite central so it may look like you have clearance until you rotate the wheel.

Just for reference its recommend to have at least 3mm air gap between brake parts and the wheels.

Does anybody know if 12mm and 15mm will clear these brakes with the 18" M sport wheels??
I did pre warn you this would happen :).

I'm curious to see if they'll fit under the 18's even with spacers.

BP is running them with his mlite wheels but as I said the offsets are different, and I also suspect the design of the wheels is different in the sense that they are wider at the hub.

BenGT has the 370mm discs and 18" 261 style wheels so it is possible to have this set up under 18" wheels.

I did ask him for advice when it comes to the install and spacers didn't come up so I assumed the wheels would go straight on without issues.

Luckily I suspended the old caliper from the suspension strut without disconnecting brake lines so I've returned the car back to standard without too much trouble.

I've ordered some sparco spacers from Italy. Which should be here Tuesday/ Wednesday so I'll have another crack at this next weekend.

Yes F series OEM 18" front wheels fit fine as follows

436 and 461 7.5" ET45mm
397 8" ET34mm

I tried an e9x wheel style 195 8" ET34mm and clashes but only v slightly ie circa 3mm spacer would probably work.

Let us know how you get on with getting it sorted.

Good job you didn't disconnect the brake line that's a relief :)

I did my brake conversion about 4 weeks ago:

I'm using the performance 370/380 Callipers, Using 370mm Discs (dimpled and grooved)

They bolted straight on, with no mods required whatsoever. Existing back plates did not foul and wheels clear perfectly due to concave

Wheels are 19" by 8.5

Best upgrade yet! Worth every penny as stock brakes are sh*te.....

Mitch/ rob they look amazing! I can't bloody wait until my spacers arrive so I can get mine installed! It almost made me cry putting the standard discs back on after seeing the big brakes behind the rims!
