Can you PM me which stop you're planning to meet at & also your mobile number if you want a text update of where we are.
Have a feeling we may run ahead of the schedule if there's fewer of us this year.

OK that's me ready for tomorrow. Tyres/fluids checked, loose objects removed from inside the car
I'll have the route in the satnav but recommend everyone brings it in case they get lost or want to lead.

Will be seeing some of you at the start point at 8.30am :D

A thoroughly enjoyable day, many thanks to bjt for organising and coordinating on the day (especially the pub lunch and amphibious testing through the ford). The weather wasn't too bad and made the day more interesting and challenging for traction in the slower corners 😅. Nice to meet you all and have a good chat over lunch. Can't wait for the next one!

Northern Romp - Sunday 10th September 2017

Wanted to put this date out there for a Northern Romp meet. I've spoken to a few people who are interested, and as far as I know this hasn't been organised for this year yet?

More details to follow. In general terms it's a 120-odd mile run in the East Cumbria area taking in some outstanding scenery and roads, and with stops for food and standing around cars

Please register your interest by adding your name below. All welcome, including non-BMW drivers!

I guess now you know why you were a little light on attendance, especially from the normal quarters!
There was a secret October romp in the pipeworks, so no need to bother with yours!
Well done though, I bet you still had a great drive.

Not sure if I detect a note of sourness here Red? If so, I think it's a bit harsh and uncalled for.

BJT wanted to organise a Romp because a) I imagine he fancied one and b) there didn't appear to be anyone taking up the challenge (publically) to organise. So good on him for doing just that.

I know you have arranged many an event your good self so you'll know what efforts goes into them and how dissapointing it can be when the numbers don't make it.

Yes there was a 'private' Romp but BJT wasn't to know that and now that he does I'm sure he won't appreciate any snide comment in relation to what he tried to get off the ground.

Hi Menace, I think that you totally misread Red5's comments and interpreted them the wrong way.
Not at all meant the way you read it. :)
