Even if it’s crazy completely pishing it down, are winters a complete waste of time? Conti TS830’s is the compound is pretty decent.

Am thinking there’d be enough water to keep the temperatures down. Am happy enough to deal with the extra squirm of the big tread blocks and I’d be ok with playing rather than trying...

Has anyone had issues with the stock fluid?
Nope, not as long as it's in good nick.
Thought so. If servicing has been done properly I don’t see the need to change fluid.

Mouse - if it were me using winters on a track day I wouldn’t expect them to last more than a few minutes before they were ready for the bin, and illegal to drive home on. It’d ruin the day for me.

Sod’s law once you’ve swapped your tyres we’ll get bad enough weather to warrant winter tyres lol

I'd only run winters on track if it was actually icy or snowing, in which case I'm sure the day would be cancelled, so a bit moot.

Booked
1. Mark Hurley 130i
2. Graearea 130i
3. git-r2 M135i
4. godzilla M140i
5. Twenny 125i

I’ve booked the whole day :)

Weather is looking perfect now, 9 degrees and sunshine :)

There are only 10 spaces left so anyone wishing to come should book asap!

Need to swap my wheels over and bring my second set with wheel changing stuff. Just missing a torque wrench but no doubt someone will have one I can borrow. Anyone is welcome to use my jack/impact wrench :)

Looking forward to properly killing those nasty Westlake tyres!!
