we'll have to make sure that all members from all states can participate, so a central location is required - Alice Springs anyone??? :-)

Excuse my naivity and laziness for not opening a map, but is Melbourne far from Sydney?
Can you lot meet half way?

Melbourne is about 1000km from Sydney. The drive is normally about 10hours on the Hume Highway.

Any suggestions on activities and places where we can meet? I suggest the place to be somewhere away from the city so everyone can enjoy some driving (in a convoy). I think this meet will be nice to do as a picnic and BYO BBQ and everyone will just share. Considering some will take their families so I think it will be a good to have it as a picnic. We can play cricket if someone will show me how to play it first... This should be a weekend meet as everyone will be at work during weekdays. So guys what do you think? BTW lets keep the drive around 1 hour as the kids tend to get bored :)
