Remove armrest squeak

Heres a fix that solved my problem.

1. Get a teflon/grease spray..I use this from MOTIP.



2. From this picture you can see the inside of the armrest, goes out over the round part, that can be rotated (hard to explain). It's from inside of this point, that the squeaks "are living" :D



3. Close the armrest, and put the spray tube at the indicated arrows, and give it a good blast. This will push the grease inside, and make a nice film, where theres contact between the plastic...... And now, no more noise or squaks!

Think the "grease" bit may be confusing, I've never seen it as a grease, only as a thin spray lube.

You'll find it alongside the likes of WD40 but this stuff won't dissolve the plastic like that does. The one I usually get is called Weldtite TF2 and comes in a huge green can and you can even get it in Asda for a couple of quid. Makes an excellent motorcycle chain lube too.
