I don't know, sorry.

I have a pro nav retrofit to do on an E90 before I do anything else & I get very little time to myself as I have a small child to look after.

If you want it done quickly give Peter a call, he should be able to supply & fit everything & is highly recommended.

Hi Rob,

Thanks for a great and informative post. I have a question which I don't think is covered...

I appear to be lucky enough to have a Pro HU with the Bluetooth built-in - a result!

What parts/steps to I need to get it working?

- Bluetooth Antenna
- Mic
- Coding

Is that it?

If you / or someone else on the forums would be so kind as to highlight exactly the components I need for my scenario, that'd be great - and much appreciated :)

Hi,

Could someone help please. I have 2010 1 Series with USB and DAB fitted. I have the mulf usb/Bluetooth fitted in boot.

I have fitted the mic (front light fitting connected to mulf) and the antenna.

I took the car to be coded but the garage did not really know what they were doing (ex BMW mechanics!). They upgraded the rest of my car but could not get Bluetooth going, They spent a lot of time trying to be fair, but this was new to them. Is there someone who could do the coding for me please. I live in the Oxford area.

Thanks in advance

If you have the MULF unit I can do it remotely. You will need a cable from http://www.cable-shack.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

That's great wibbles. Is it the D-Can Switced cable or the D-Can Diagnostic set? Let me know and I will get one ordered. Please send me a PM to let me know how I can pay you.

Thank you for your help :)

I've changed radio business to professional. When I try to code all modules i get error "mulf2 not found". That is probably because I did not code new radio to the car. How do I do this? Just add to VO? What is the option code for the radio prof? Anything else i need to do to be able to talk to the Mulf?

Thanks

There was no $662 radio business in the VO list.I added $663 - radio prof. RAD2 appeared. Still couldnt prgram 2ULF. "SG nicht angeschlosses oder meldet sich nicht".

Programmed RAD2 manually - Bluettoth_Rad2 Aktiv, ULF_ECE Aktiv. Bluettoth works. I can make calls. I did not check usb yet.

Seems like I cannot get NCS to program MULF2 via MOST connection.

Any ideas?

You cannot programed MULF with a normal DCAN cable, you need an ICOM but there is a trick. I'll post later when I'm available.

I've read through this and the other Bluetooth/USB retrofit guides, and I'm not sure what head unit I have in my car still! The car is a 2010 e82 with professional navigation. The head unit looks like this

Image

I don't have the USB under my armrest, and this is all I'd really want, is it as simple as getting the retrofit kit plugging into the (hopefully) optical connection on the back of the head unit and running to the arm rest with a new facia plate?

Thanks for any help guys!
