How do you change the fuel pressure sensor 120d.

Post by moddy » Sun Dec 10, 2017 10:52 pm

Hi everyone,

I have the engine management light on, and it shows a CC ID 33 error on the OBD. (Emissions fault i believe).
I have changed the EGR valve and the Mass airflow Sensor.
When i plug in my reader it shows at fault all 4 glow plugs, and the a fuel rail sensor fault. These are the only errors left from a long list.
I am on half power/limp home mode too.

Can the sensor cause what i described, and how do i fit it.
2005 120d 163BHP E87.

I posted this last week but did not get an answer.
Thanks for your help.

You need to make friends with Realoem: http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/showpar ... Id=13_0959

Part 3 on here ^.

Remove the old one, fit a new one. Don't try it right after you've turned the engine off, there will be something like 30,000 psi fuel pressure in there!

As it's all 4 plugs, I suspect it's the common relay/controller that's failed, rather than the plugs themselves. They can be DIY fixed if you're handy with a soldering iron, or replaced of course.
