Fault code reader error

Post by Coupejim » Sat May 19, 2018 12:38 am

Hi all,

I've recently had the trio of abs/traction control/hand brake warning lights come up. ( Which seems a common one from reading). Only problem I have is trying to pinpoint where exactly the issue is. Tried 3 different code readers but none seem to be able to read any error codes. Two of them come up with "link error", the other appears to read live data when eng is running but still won't come up with any error codes! Anyone ever had this problem?

Faulty abs sensors s often don’t put a fault code in.

Read live data for each wheel speed and see which ones drops out.

Yep good shout that.

I was lucky with mine and my front passenger sensor fault showed up when reading, so was easy to change.

Ok thanks guys, I'll give it a go and report back. Feel free if anyone else wants to put their 2p worth in with any ideas.
