I was close to voting for Semerka but the gate being visible slightly ruined the photo for me. Had to be picky though as there's some good photos.

Mine was taken at Leake Street, near Waterloo station. There's only one way in/out of the tunnel, so if you go, make sure nobody is waiting to block you in (I have heard horror stories!)

Thank you very much to all who took part and who voted! It is great to see so many entries!

It was a very close race between Yellacoffee1 and Ryan.S, which ended up in a tie. No surprise really as it was a very difficult decision from the start.

Congratulations chaps! :fest:

Your reward is to scratch your heads and suggest a theme for the next photo competition please.

Both deserved winners.... :)

I do think it's a little shame that software post processing plays such a big role in these competitions these days as this is a separate skill in itself to photography...

I'm not having a dig at anyone but definately a disadvantage for those aspiring photographers without the same software skills but perhaps maybe have a great eye for a picture...

I will second that.

Although I am well versed with Photoshop, I think that software processing should be confined to commercial work.

We all (I think!) use digital cameras these days but my approach to photography hasn't really changed much since the days of film.

I know what you mean Sooty and agree that good post-processing is another skill in itself.

I suppose for the youngsters amongst us it is a second nature and part and parcel of photography nowadays. And you still have to take a good initial photo to make it into a cracking post-processed one.

Still, we all like different things and judge photos in our own ways, not just on technical merits, so all is not lost. :)

It's always interesting to see what ideas the entrants come up with though, with regards to each competition's theme. :)
