624 Matt Black Alloys

Post by FJCarter92 » Wed Mar 15, 2017 5:11 pm

Hi everyone,

I recently picked up an M235i with the 624 matt black alloys.

Whats the best way to clean these?
Over the weekend I just used a wash mitt and soapy water but I was wondering what products are best for detaching/removing the dirt from the surface.

Also wondered if there were any sealing products people knew of for this type of finish?

Thanks.

To clean them it's just the same as cleaning any other wheel.....

Bilberry wheel cleaner and various types of brushes to clean the face and then inside of the wheel. Personally I used a combination of brushes and Wheel Woolies.

As for sealing the wheels it depends on how adept you are at applying any products. I had my car detailed and C5 was applied but I don't know if I'd do that myself but there are loads of sealers out there.
