DA/ Rotary polish and pad combo for hard BMW paint

Post by Kraj » Thu Jun 15, 2017 9:48 pm

Hi all,

Just exploring what combo's of pad and polish/compounds folks have found to be effecting with hard BMW paint? I'm not new to polishing and have a rotary and DA polisher. I'm only looking to single stage (or 2 stage where required) my new M140i when it arrives before ceramic coating it in Gtechniq CS light.

I've previously found Sonax perfect finish with Megs microfiber pads to be superb but this was on softer Honda paints so not sure if it will 'cut' it (Pun intended!) on hard paint?
M140i Shadow - EB - Auto - Adaptive suspension - Pro Nav - Heated seats - Sunroof - Front/Rear PDC - Reverse Camera - Comfort Access - Lumbar support

G-Technic P1 and a microfibre cutting pad will breeze through BMW paint.
