Baked on Brake Dust

Post by 2Stevo2 » Sun Oct 08, 2017 3:35 pm

Chaps,

Need some advice.

Recently purchased a 2016 120d msport.

Today is the first real chance Ive had to clean the car thoroughly however the front wheels have proper baked on brake dust that I can not get off.

Any suggestions?

Bilt Hamber auto wheel is good stuff for ground in dirt. Worth a try as per other thread :)

Not a lot.

Both suphur based and smell of eggy Battenburg Cake. Korrosol can be used all over the car for fall-out/brake particle/rail dust removal.

Bleeds purple if it finds any rogue iron particles embedded in the paint:

If the finish has been damaged by strong cleaners then refurb is only solution. Try one of the fallout cleaners first / clay bar

Well thats what I was worried about as it feels very rough to touch and i gave it a good scrub. Ill try this Bilt Hamber 1st and go from there.
