Ok, would these fit without rubbing (18")?

Front 8" ET38 - 225/40
Rear 9" ET45 - 255/35 (or 245?)

The car is lowered with H&R springs and I'm planning on using Michelin PS4 tyres. I have never used them before, do they have a square or round sides?

Yeah, they'll be fine, even with the 255's on.

Along the 'will they fit theme' - does anyone know if these would fit:

18x8.5 ET45 on a f21 m135i. Lowered on H&R and with M4 LCAs...

There is also an 18x8.5 ET38 option too if the above doesn't work?

TIA

8.5" at ET45 will probably foul on the strut, no? What size spacer where you considering? Can't go too thick if you have M4 LCA's as you could hit the arch too. 3mm?

8.5" at ET38 is getting pretty pokey (considering the longer wishbones) but you might get away with them if you stretch the standard 225's on?

Do you need to go as wide as 8.5" on the front?

I'll be honest I don't have much of a clue when it comes to this! I'd guessed the strut would be the main issue with ET45 but not sure how much room there would be (if any) between the strut and wheel arch to allow for a spacer, ideally I'd like a 235 tyre on there but I think that's asking for too much. I did see someone running that setup but I was skeptical, I did find the post (from the carthrottle page) so I'll ask him and share the info!

'GaSs_ZA' tried 235/40/18 with M4 LCA's + lowering, and found they fouled the bumper hard (being taller than a 225/40 or 245/35).

If I were buying wheels again, I'd be looking for 8" ET42 fronts to fit 245/35/18 on. (I'm running 8" ET40 245/35 on the front currently, which did just rub due to the M4 LCA's.)

Just to double check fitment. Looking at some 8x18 ET35 all round to fit on our 2017 M140. Will be fitting the standard MPSS tyres to these..are they going to work okay - possibly looking to add Motech Eibach springs at a later date..

They're going to be very aggressive/slightly pokey on the back, but should sort of fit if you add some negative camber. 17mm more poke than stock rears, have a play outside with a tape measure.

Do they come in ET40 instead?

8" ET45 would look fairly OEM, 6mm - 7mm more stanced than standard.

8" ET35 would look quite aggressive, 16mm - 17mm more stanced than standard.

Nice to have options. :)

Hi guys!

Would it be possible to run 8.5x18 et35 with 225/40 square? Know it might be agressive, but that’s what i’m going for. With no rubbings tho.
Yes, they'll fit. Aggressive, but no rubbing.

You'll have zero kerb protection, so be careful when parking!
Bought the car about 1 month ago from a dealer, just looked at the oem wheels. Realized the oem tires are 225/40 f and 245/35 r.

Do you think 18x8.5 et35 with 245/35 would work in the back? Or would I see some potential rubbing?

Thanks,
Fredrik

I think they might rub, unless you increase the rear camber. Do your wheels come in ET40 instead?

Well that sucks :( They do, et35,38,40,42,45. But with higher et they'll become less concave. And I want them as aggressive as possible.
Or I'll buy a new set of 225/40 square.

I'd be going at least 38 personally. 3mm isn't much concavity to sacrifice for decent width tyres.

That's true. Do you think et38 would work with 245/35 tho?
Do the m135i (xdrive) have any adjustable camper in the rear?
