Would I be 100% safe with these wheels at ET40 with LCAs and 245s in front? That's my aim, not gonna change the TS.

With 245's, I'd expect tyre to arch contact. Tyre to bumper in fact, mine used to hit around 1 o clock.

I had to fit longer stiffer (stock M235i) front springs to prevent rubbing.

ET42 would probably just clear.

Are the M235 springs much stiffer ? Would it lift the car , would it be a nice OEM upgrade on my M135 for track and then stop the rubbing?

M4 LCA's drop the car (as the front hubs do the splits). My car was already lowered on Eibachs, so the double-lower was too much for my roll-centre / ground clearance.

M235i springs are much stiffer than my M135i were, but the same length. Similar to a long Eibach. Very expensive brand new!
