Advice please - Flat rear tyre, what are my options?

Post by Davide82 » Mon Oct 23, 2017 6:41 pm

Hi everyone, bit of advice please, I've got a 430d (use to have a 1 series!) and nearside rear tyre has a nail in it.

Car currently has reasonably fresh Bridgestone Potenza's all round in size;
255/35 R19 92Y (runflats)

Because all 3 others are pretty fresh (2000 miles in), I'm wouldn't be looking to change those so what are my options?

Match with another Bridgestone potenza?
Or go for something else and over time swap the others to match?

All options look like £200ish;

Any and all advice would be welcome (yes I realise swapping all 4 is the ideal scenario and move away from run flats but it's not realistic at the moment and seems a waste of 3 tyres)

Thanks again

Assuming it can't be puncture repaired, (as much as I dislike shitty Bridgestones) I'd buy a matching tyre.

Thanks Marco, better to match than change over time then?

Just match them. No point in chucking out 2k old mile tyres.

Wait for the 4 to wear out and then replace then all for something else.

You can repair the Bridgestone if it’s within certain tolerances and criteria.
