240i - 18 Inch OZ Leggera HLT

Post by Perc » Mon Feb 13, 2017 6:28 pm

Hi Guys, long time lurker, first time poster...be gentle! :)
Im thinking of upgrading the alloys on my Estoril blue 240i.
Currently looking at these: http://www.wheelbasealloys.com/alloy-wh ... ck/18-inch
Anyone have these rims fitted?
Im looking to keep the standard run flat tyres/sizes/widths etc
Feedback appreciated!
Thanks perc

I quite like them, I have seen a few pictures around the web in 18"; if you go for 245 square, I do think you'll need a spacer up front. As far as I know, they are REALLY light and strong (and look good).

Why the need for a spacer ?

Tyre clearance is function of width and offset.

If OP fits 8" et37-40mm or 8.5" et42-45mm - no spacers required F & R.

I thought the wheels were ET45 18x8; I fitted ET40 8J with 245 and didn't feel like there was another 5mm margin?

True I saw it after your reply; earlier I contacted my OZ supplier and he told me that in 18" 5*120 only 8J and ET45 was, but perhaps thats wrong or outdated

I had a set of these on my GT86, lovely wheels

Price seems to have gone up a lot since when I got them though!! (..blame the weak £)

had them in bright race grey, thought that'd be a great combo with estoril blue

Hi All
Thanks for the feedback.

Wheelbase have stated: the wheels are only made in 8x18. they are available in et29 & et40.

18 x 8" ET40 would be perfect. :)

Thats Superleggera/Ultraleggera right? The Leggera HLT is more like:

This seems to be ET45 :).
