Error free reliable led sidelights?

Post by kungfuman » Tue Aug 15, 2017 10:15 pm

Can anyone recommend me some error free reliable led sidelights for my e82 ? I bought a pair off amazon that were supposedly error free but still flagged a warning in the dash. I've searched but most of the threads are older and have dead links.

Error free reliable led sidelights?

Don't worry about LED sidelights they're crap and will fail quickly. I had a set I can find that didn't throw errors if you really want the link, but it'll have to wait till I get home and log into eBay from my laptop.

Thats great Twenny, pass on the link when you have a chance.

I see a few people recommend the mtec ones but they're £18 a pair and although they're error free there's no guarantee on the life of them.

To be honest I wish I'd listened to the people that had them as they would of lasted longer than what I bought.

Buy cheap, buy twice

MTEC's are good. Mine are still going fine after 2 years.

What is the colour of the mtecs like? They are listed at 7000k which I thought are a bit on the bluer side and I'm just really looking for white.

Ice white I'd say. Barely any tint of blue IIRC.
