Halogen upgrade

Post by Wayno » Thu Nov 23, 2017 3:35 pm

I’m sure this is a question that’s been asked a lot before an I apologise. Please link me to a thread with a solution if there’s one.

Basically, the halogen lights are complete rubbish! Last night it was raining and I was completely blind on the motorway. I had to follow the tail lights of a truck even though the halogens were on, I couldn’t see anything because of their terrifyingly poor output.

What’s a cheap upgrade that can get me through the next couple of months? Just had the bumpers and tailgate painted, suspension sorted, full service done and purchased some new rubber so funds are a bit low.

Would LED be a viable option or HID’s? Are they MOT safe?

Thank you

The only 'cheap option' is some uprated halogen bulbs.

Osram Night breakers or Philips diamond vision I think they’re called.

HID in a halogen headlight is also cheap but illegal lol

The lights are bad but not that bad.
Maybe get the alignment checked.
