Mine took 11 days to come.

A word of warning, be very careful when popping the glass. I followed the guide, used the right tool and shattered a mirror glass. Genuinely was applying very little pressure. Obviously then had no other choice but to remove the glass, and it took quite a bit of force.

Not a cheap mistake at roughly £100!

Mirror caps can f#ck off, not risking the other side.

I had to replace 2 when I had my previous M135 when putting on OEM Performance caps on... (those had to be screwed on so no choice)

I have heard that you can just yank them off without taking glass out

Most methods advise creating a gap at the outside edge and gently prying outwards from the mirror housing as in this.

Not sure I'd recommend this method though unless you don't intend to keep the old caps

I ordered on 6th September and messaged them to ask about progress and had a reply to say I should have had them by now. I've asked for tracking numbers etc but complete silence with no reply at all. What sort of postage was used for those that have received theirs?

Mine came via parcel2go/Hermes. Also got an email from autoid saying they were on their way.

So this is getting very annoying.
Ordered Sept 6th, got an email 9th saying dispatched.
After about a week sent a message to autoid that item hadn't arrived.
Reply that I should have it, I replied I didn't. After a few mails and messages and requests for tracking info from me, eventually got a reply with tracking info. Seems to have been held up at courier with it being out for delivery since 15th. Jack pledged to chase them up.
Since then despite my emails and messages, complete silence.
Not great.

If AutoID have dispatched the item to their courier service there's nothing they can do except chase them up just like you've done.

Mine was shipped by Parcel2go (who used Hermes) and I had a minor hiccup due to missing a delivery on a Saturday, but all I had to do was ask Parcel2go who they were using (Hermes) and then ask for the tracking number & chased Hermes.

I appreciate they can only chase them up but I was told 2 days ago they would chase them up, but I've had no update as to what that chasing up has led to, i.e what's the delay and when is the delivery likely. I'm just asking for some information which is surely the minimum that I should expect.

Lots of people bought mirror caps on this deal.

Have you all successfully removed the mirror glass?

My mirror caps (not part of this deal, ahem) arrived late yesterday (I had asked AutoID to delay postage, which was fully tracked; it was amazing to see how long the package was in transit for) and I am steeling myself to attempt glass removal.

Nope, I smashed one. Didn't even bother touching the passenger side. It didn't come out anywhere as easy as all the YouTube videos suggest. It was on really tight.

£84 for a new glass...

Fitted then today and used the above method and no cracked glass like before! thanks for the link..

Its' still scary that I had to use some force before the glass popped out but all OK for this part at least...

I had a few issues taking the old ferric grey caps off though and had to force it off in the end and the cap flew out of my hand and onto the concrete floor so now grazed a little

I would recommend putting something soft (dust sheets perhaps) on the floor just in case it happens to you!

Look great though... Thanks again for organising this :D

I wimped out on this and asked my local dealer to install mine when the car was in to have F&R cameras fitted.

I was able to watch the BMW technician do the work and his preferred method was to NOT remove the glass, but to grab the inner edge from the front, using the body of the cap as a fulcrum to prise the inner clip free and then work from the top outer edge. He was happy to show me that replacing and removing a cap did not give rise to any damage.

I shall have an opportunity to do this myself over the next few days.

Cant believe it's taken me this long to post this but even I managed to get my CF Performance mirror caps fitted.

Using this method (largely) https://youtu.be/G9vdKok-1Uw and my trusted Carlos Fandango 5000 trim remover

I gently prised the mirror from the outside edge keeping back pressure on the face of the mirror to minimise hotspots of pressure and after a few nerve wracking seconds the mirror glass came out. 30 seconds later I had the old cap off and 30 seconds after that I had the new one installed!

The fit and finish of the caps is faultless and the matte really compliments the MG IMO.
Hope everyone was happy with the discounts and the delivered products.

P.S.
Due to a mutual misunderstanding I ended up with two sets temporarily, so I took the opportunity to show a side by side view of Gloss v Matte and Standard v Performance. Hope the pics are helpful to anyone undecided.

Finally got my second mirror cap installed (long story, but dealt with admirably by Jack at AutoID). The car is no longer lop-sided!

The pulling-the-cap method worked really well; no broken clips and NO risk of mirror breakage.
