Hi guys,

Ive got carly pro installed on my phone that I used on my old 330i, it seems a waste to not be using it now but ive lost the obd2 port plug. Does any body which is the best to plug to buy please, the 'original' carly ones seem very expensive! I would really like to disable auto stop/start on my car and obviously check for codes once in a while.

ive got a m140i lci shadow if that makes a difference.

I've got an original carly adapter I was going to sell as don't use it.

It won’t work if it’s an original Carly reader as it’s Gen I and F series need the Gen II reader.

It’s a bit of a minefield with these OBD readers.

I know of people that have bought a £7 eBay reader and it’s been absolutely fine. But mostly they don’t work or only partly work and can be a waste of time and money (ask me how I know this lol)

The Gen II Carly readers for Android are around £45-50 and for iPhone £60

Buy cheap, buy twice.

Mine has probably paid for itself with beer tokens from forum members.
