Here are the standard AutoID Carbon Fibre replacements on my M235i Estoril Blue Convertible. These don't have the 'wings' that are on the M2 style ones, but I preferred the simpler shape. To be honest, I think that the body colour would have looked just as good - frankly, anything is better then than the bizzare grey BMW use.

Just a small tip: The AutoID video is a good guide, but roll down your windows when you do the replacement - this allows you to perch the mirror on the window sill, rather than risk it dropping down and dangling by its wires, which probably isn't a good idea.

Build quality is good, and the coating seems to be effective with no yellowing etc., even after driving around in high-altitude Alpine sunshine last summer.

Are there any other alternatives? I’m not a fan of the factory mirrors. Would like body coloured. Auto ids include the flick but I’d quite like the OEM shape. I guess I could get ones from bmw does any one know the cost for this...are there any other third party options.

Didn't buy from this seller but would imagine they are all the same. Very simple to fit took about 10 mins each side

if anyone is considering doing this you don't need to take out the mirror glass, just pull the mirror cover from the inside edge next to the window,if you have strong finer nails you can get a grip on the joint where the cap meets the mirror casing and pull, the clips really aren't that strong and the cap will pop off without breaking anything :D
