BMW OBD STOP LOCK

Post by NVM » Tue Oct 02, 2012 7:26 pm

As your all aware we have been approached by a company who make the OBD STOP lock to stop your BMW from being knicked.

It is a patented physical lock that replaces the OBD cover with a stainless steel laser cut and machined version with an integrated lock. It has been designed and tested in the uk and will be available for the LHD models too. All parts are made in the uk and custom tooling have been produced for this design. The lock itself is very unique and they have made it as flush as possible. Currently available in black, but colours to match the grey and cream soon to come for a factory finish.

It is quite simply fit and forget, we have had various customers test the fit and security of it. If the criminals cant access the OBD, they cant program any key.

Why pay for a steering lock that can be turned when the vehicle starts anyway. Retain your BMW warranty too.

RRP has been set at £89.99 , but we will be doing a promotional price of £59.99 for a limited time. Postage is priced at £4.99

Its a great piece of engineering and has been tested on our cars and various customers car. You guys know how vulnerable these cars are, so lets put a stop to it.

We are exclusive resellers and have already sold to various showrooms and sytner themselves.

1 Series version is already being tested. So will update as soon as they are ready. But should be about 14 days.

Keep your warranty. Fit and forget.

So if your interested in a pre-order contact us.

In all honesty... EDILOCK will crack this in no time. Also there is a possibility cars out of warranty wont get it. We have heard that any cars with remaps will also be wiped and updated to tricore software protection.

May as well spend 5 minutes removing the panel and tucking the OBD connector out of sight.

Yes you can, but possible invalidate your warranty (if you have one) and cause concerns with future MOT regulations which will require the OBDII port to be where manufacturer states.

Also

There will also be a new check on the general condition of the wiring:

4.11. Electrical wiring
(a) Wiring insecure or not adequately secured. (if this is not secured to the bracket it may fail)
(b) Wiring deteriorated.
(c) Damaged or deteriorated insulation
