I guess so! A lot of jobs sound quite fancy on here so assume there’s a lot of money.. especially when you read the watch thread!

I think there’s a bit of willy waving at times though!

Don’t, life isn’t about how much money you are paid (notice I didn’t say earnt), if you are happy and surrounded by friends and family that love you then you are a very rich person indeed!

See my earlier post about Facebook "perfect life" bollox....I'm a lowly IT guy on site...my predecessor called himself the IT manager, when all high-level shiz is done/decided elsewhere. Oh yeah, they have offices abroad, so I say they are a global organisation! Think of this....I used to work in the NHS...on my 3rd job since then and earning £9k LESS (and working harder!).

Good point about the watch thread though.

+1 for this! My job is enjoyable and the pay isn't bad but it means I'm out of the country away from friends and family for at least 8 months a year, I'm now seriously considering taking a substantial pay cut so I can be ay home and enjoy life and not just enjoy work!

It’s finding the right balance for both. I work Monday - Friday and start in a new area on Monday which is 12 miles from home rather than 25 miles. Although I do think life would be quieter if I worked away hahaha!

I earn an average amount but it’s enough, I own my own home and we have 3 cars between 2 of us.

If you can afford to go for it. You can't put a monetary value on seeing your family grow up imo. After all you don't get that time back.
