Hopefully a disklok or similar would prevent this as you can't get to any of the wheel attachments with it on.

I've seen a lot of posts about this, me and one of my friends were talking about getting a disk lock the other day to prevent this too.

I used to live not far from Maidstone and had my car and my neighbor car broken into on the same night. Both Steering wheels nicked along with my whole Pro Nav, cost over 10k to put right though my insurance. No sign of brake in, police, BMW and my insurance made no attempt to figure out how they got in.

Most probably the same gang,
LCI M135i AW with Coral, Auto, Media Pro, HK, Adaptive LEDs, TMC + BCS Sports cat for a bit more

Thanks for the heads-up, just bought a StopLock Pro to help prevent wheel/airbag theft.

Does it cover the whole steering wheel? Ones I found by stoplock were just the bars which won't protect much

No, I've gone for an airbag covering bar. It's metal hoops lock either side of the lower middle spoke so it lays right over the centre of the wheel, making airbag removal basically impossible.

I guess they could cut the wheel in 2 places with an angle grinder, but if you're going down that path you could also cut a disclock off. Nothing is impregnable, I'm just hoping not to appear like an easy victim.
