I have a Speedmaster Speedy Tuesday on the way now as well so I am going to have to make some room or the "boss" will kill me. I nearly bought a Tintin to go with it last week but managed to "have a word with myself" just in time!
Very Jealous you managed to secure a Speedy Tuesday! Lovely watch.

It does look great in the photo's posted so far on various forums. Unfortunately deliveries seem to have stalled at the moment for some reason :(

Tried the Tag Carerra on (black croc leather with red stitching), however think I'm going to destroy the thin croc leather in no time with the watch being used every day, so going for a metal bracelet version.

So my questions are:

Paying cash, how much of a discount could you waggle? Watch is £4250 at Goldsmiths and Beaverbrooks

Online, are they're any genuine trusted stores (tried and tested). I've seen the watch online for £3700, but does seem to good to be true???

Now: 2006 130i with even more goodies ;)
Gone: 2008 116i with goodies :)

Goldsmiths can only offer 14% and earlier in this thread there was a link to Swiss Watches Direct offering at £3,085.00 which so far is the lowest I've seen it at.

They are genuine but their business model is usually to take your payment and then look to source a watch, usually from a European AD

I've done exactly that previously and advise you've really got to be extremely careful to make certain you're in contact with a genuine dealer, in this specific case (CV2A81.FC6237) I'm having difficulty finding one in the Middle East possibly as it's a new model and in Dan's scenario he's also looking to change the leather strap to metal which effectively will increase the cost a shade.

Changing the strap isn't easy :( spoke to the dealer yesterday and he said the fixings are different shapes and sizes. I know they put straps under a number of test, but the croc leather feels thin and think I would distroy it. It can be replaced for a new one at around £500....

Also they recommend servicing for around £200 every 4/5 years

I've used Dom Hackett previously, a very well known and reputable trader, based in Hatton Garden and is a regular on many watch forums and PistonHeads, can source 2nd hand and brand new

Hi guys. Fairly new on here and just noticed this. Watches are pretty much my number 3 passion after cars and cameras.

Current collection is

Omega Seamaster
Panerai PAM0001
Rolex Daytona 18ct white gold

Previous

Speedmaster Schumacher edition
Rolex datejust
Rolex seadweller deepsea
Rolex yachtmaster
Rolex daytona stainless steel.

Only got the daytona with me at the min as living overseas but she is lovely :)

Just tried to attach iphone pic but too large. Will sort one out later.

Seriously thinking about getting a Speedmaster Chronograph. Love this 'First Omega In Space' edition.
