I wouldn't say it's a bad idea, you deserve it! I couldn't hold out for 10 years on a single car!

And nooo, put it sport mode and have some fun, just be careful around corners if your not used to a rear wheel drive, but in sport mode the traction is still on, so will let you know if your being a bit silly, in sport mode you get the pops and crackles from the exhaust too which is always fun,

Hope you enjoy the car, and any modifications or anything you want to know has probably been covered on the forum at some point, worth reading through and having a look what takes your fancy as there are some (In my opinion) must have mods on the car, such as new springs/suspension to settle the ride and an exhaust, there are lots of different options for the exhaust, all depends on how loud you want it to be and what you can live with :)

Hello all!

My first post, finally got round to registering on here, been a visitor a few times especially recently.

Currently own a 2014 116d Sport that I've had from new, and is getting ready to change. I've really enjoyed the car, but do wish I'd gone for the 116i instead, my choice was a bit rushed and I've always had a preference for petrol, although the D is very good.

For my next car I'm seriously considering an M140i, had quicker cars years ago and miss it a bit. Plus the £2k down and £299 a month deals last year caught my eye. I know those deals aren't around any more but if I can get anywhere close I could be jumping onboard!

Look forward to some banter with you all 👍

Hi all

I am on the lookout for an M135i or M235i, budget 15 to 20k-ish, so thought I would join this forum. Looks like a wealth of great info to be found here !

Looking forwards to viewing some cars after xmas.

Hi everyone.

My name is Rob. I am quite a fan of performance BMW's. I currently have an E46 M3 which i have just sold and will be delivering up to Edinburgh, where I will collect my new M140i SE from Peter Vardys. So exciting times ahead.

Being new to the 1 series, i am sure i will be asking loads of questions to build up my knowledge so I can get the best out of the new car.

I look forward to chatting to many of you.

Merry Christmas :D

Hi all,

My names Joseph & I’m an alcoholic...

Nah, I’ve been a huge lurker here for a very, very, VERY long time & thought it’s about time I joined.

I’m 25 years old from Liverpool & I’m a Software Test Automation Engineer.

I’ve been a huge BMW fanatic for as long as I can remember but have never got round to buying one.

I used to work in Chorley (still commuting from South Liverpool) & used my 2004 Mini for the commute. I’ve recently got a job closer to home so instead of doing around 100 miles per day I’m now doing about 30 lol.

Thus being the right time to buy a 130i! So i’m currently on the look out for one of them!

Wish me luck as they’re hard af to find.

Excited to get to know you all!

Joe

Back again.

Did join here some time ago, when i had e87 118ia. It was a great little car, but poor engine.. Did swap it to e91 325, what was also good car, but found out, that it was too expensive to keep. after that i made really, mean really bad move and traded it onto vw golf wagon + some cash. Well, soon i sold the golf and did get e46 320 touring, and after that e39 540ia with all the bells and wihstels.

Today, i did swapped cars again..

e88 125ia 08 with xenons, sportseats and couple of important extras, like cruice controll. See, Finland is a small country, but there is a long way everywhere.

Let me know, if you want to that i make own thread for this.

ps. What an amazing car. And in this time, no roof and proper three litre inline NA six 8)

Hi all,

New to the forum; picked up my 2014 M135i on December 22nd (early Christmas present to self!).

Previously had a 2016 120d M Sport, but my job recently changed which means I am doing nowhere near as many miles now, so can afford to run an M135i which is what I really wanted when I got the 120d anyway.

Still in love with the car, is everything I could have wished for and more!

I am based down south in Portsmouth; look forward to getting to know you all!

Cheers,
Ash

Hi all!

I'm Mike! Found this forum while searching for my next car. Moved to the UK last year from the beautiful flat pancake country across the North Sea and need some wheels in the UK.

Had a 350Z Roadster which was a brilliant car but not very practical and I wouldn't want to have a convertible anymore as I can't park it where it stays dry..

Eleven year old beauty.. :)

Have been looking at many different cars and narrowed it down to a Mercedes C63, BMW E90 M3 or an m140i.

In the end I couldn't justify the cost for the C63 or the M3 for how much I drive the car and my wife loves hot hatches! I suppose I can always upgrade if I need more space or cilinders in the future.. ;)

Moving on to last week when I found this forum and got in touch with Tony. Read a lot about all the available options on the m140i and seen a couple at the local BMW dealer so now in the process of getting an order in for delivery end of March!

It should look something like this:

Hi I'm Al. Just bought a F21 118i (170) Sport in sapphire with Sport Plus Pack. Good to be back in a BM again after an E21 and E30 many years ago. I've come from the Saab world and still have my 9-3 turbo 'vert. I'll post photos when I've finally figured it out lol...

Hi everyone.
Hasser here from the isle of man.
Had a m235i since may last year.

Traded in a activehybrid F10 5 series for it.

Shame to sell the 5er, but the F22 is good enough. Just not the same interior quality IMO.

It's a 2014 with 16000 miles now.

Hi guys - new to the world of a BMW and this forum.

I got a 116i LCI (2010) a couple of months ago - already wishing I got something a bit more powerful but hey it's my second car!
They're definitely designed to make you want to go faster...

I've been dipping in and out of the forum for a little while as a guest - it's already been incredibly helpful!
