Typergaz,

the 4.0 pump is the same as from 335d by realoem.com in real life it has 1 side turned. it is not a problem i can use the fuelline from a 4.0 wich is going the other side. turning the head is not possible.

i will be pleased to see the pictures.

Does this make any sense? Can anyone confirm these parts and which one of them is really needed?
And yes, i´m little pugnacious <3
The only one that was recomended to me, by ecotune was the flow control valve.

Beyond that i dont know what gets changed or what is interchangable. My understanding was that EcoTune carry out a modification to the HPFP and Regulator. Im personaly not going to push mine any further, (full stage two) it goes really well for a diesel and i still get 40+ on a run..
I have a 123D from 10/2007 totally stock except the performance intercooler. Do I need to replace those two parts before remap or can I keep the original?

I'd change the fuel control valve, its pretty easy to get at and will help make sure you get the best from any re map work.

BUt no you dont have to do anything, you can just get it re mapped with everything else stock. It will make a big difference!

Is that plug and play? What additional figures can you expect to achieve before having to swap out the rail/pump? Thanks

Yes its a direct swap but its only any use on the earlier models as it was revised for a better design in 2010 IIRC.

About what you have got in your signature to be honest. Maybe 290 with the right map. To get any higher your into fuel pump and rail mods.

Hi guys, I'm currently keeping an eye out for the correct CP4.2 pump for my 123d as I am also going down this route. I'm having trouble knowing exactly which model of pump is the one I need, pressure wise and size/configuration.

I've found this CP4HS2 on eBay, can anyone confirm if this is correct?

Thankyou :)

Yes but is it from the E-series or F-series cars?

Thanks guys,

I have got the pump and rail now. It came from an X5 40d (one from the eBay add) It matches up with what I can find on real OEM. Both nossles point in direction of fuel supply/return pipes as per Gaz's so should fit ok hopefully.

Looking at fitting sometime over the next month so will post up here how it goes etc so there's more info on this in the thread.
