F20 125i remap

Post by MrMalone » Tue Apr 28, 2015 6:50 pm

Have been emailing our local ecotune dealer (Walkers Autotech) about getting the car remapped and what figures etc. They say the ecu would need coming out of the car and sending to ecotune and we should see 290bhp, up from 218bhp and 450nm up from 310nm! Seems pretty impressive figures - seriously considering!!

Seems a lot.

What about the stress on all the other components?

Well, that's my thoughts and once I get a price, will be one of my next questions!

When considering the loss of warranty and the added cost, not sure it makes much sense compared to a M135i.
Megane RS Cup-S - due early June 2016
LCI M135i 3-dr, manual - bought June 15 - Sold May 16
Toyota GT86 - bought Nov 14 - Sold May 15
E82 125i M Sport on 130i power and brakes, MSS tyres - sold NOV 14

Probably not if buying new - but the car is now out of both the 3 year new and the 1 year AUC warranty, plus the remap is £450 inc vat. Seems a deal to me!
