225/45 r17 will fit too, with carefully selected wheels. Most 17's don't fit, so please double check before buying.

Cheers for the help gents!

I’ve gone for a set of PS4’s via black circles. They came out a few hundred quid cheaper than MPSS. As the car won’t be seeing any track time in the near future I thought they made a good compromise - hopefully I can live with a sight loss in turn in!

I went with the PS4's recently too, albeit from the runcraps. I can say they are night and day better for feel and much improved in the cold and wet over the runcraps.

I'm very happy with them so far and as for all season / wet weather testing, they are clear leaders according to Evo's 2017 Summer tyre test. I'm <100 miles in but I would not worry about your car suddenly turning into any more of a barge than it already is and I can confirm that they grip well in wet greasy roads with 3-4C ambient temps :)

For 19" wheels - reading on bimmerpost, the concensus - from M3/4 owners at least - is MPSS F [better turn-in, feel grip] and MPS4s [better traction and more consistent grip dry and wet surfaces]
Fettled M135i EB AT - gone but not forgotten !
