I got 41.4 on my last trip from Lancs to London. Doing it again soon so will try again and see what I can get. :)

I managed 42.7mpg on a drive from Aberdeen to Elgin up the North of Scotland (So very hilly), A roads bit of overtaking and a blast up a crawler lane. Very good cars!

took you 3hrs to do 155miles

I would get mid 50's in the boat and would do that in 2hrs or less. And probably more entertaining for that particular trip

Any car is eco friendly when do that sort of speed

Yep, was sat on the A1 and M25 for ages. Google maps reckoned 3hr 15min so not too bad I thought.

:lol: :lol: try getting 19.3 was 18.5 a few weeks ago. I do mostly all town driving my fuel bill is more than my car payment per month by a considerable amount

I've managed 41.5mpg in my 2013 M135i... On a 170mile trip to Whitby
Now - F21 2013 Alpine White M135i Auto (Sun protection package, Driver comfort package, Bum Warmers, Black Panel, HK, High Gloss shadowline Finish, M Performance grills, rear spoiler and fins)
Before - Focus ST Stage 1, Astra 1.8 SRi, Clio 1.2

It did. No traffic though really. This was a straight run from work to my gfs house. A127, M25, then one or two back roads. Either way, 52mpg is impressive for such an engine. Better MPG than my dads 3L X5 DERV

Seems like the Mx40is are defo lighter than the Mx35is. Try as I might, driving on the M25 and then M4 to Swindon, once I go over 70 mph, I can only average 38.5 mpgs on my M235i. Although saying that, my old E46 330d could only muster about 42 mpg on the same trip.

Could be that the engine design is different slightly, to allow more efficiency whilst cruising at lower RPM.
