Midlands based parts wrapping?

Post by JRD » Fri Jan 12, 2018 8:28 pm

Hi all,

I'm considering getting my wing mirrors and the front bumper "scoops" wrapped on my Shadow Edition as I think they look a bit out of place compared to the black kidney grills and darker wheels. (I'd prefer to avoid going down the painting route)

Can anyone recommend somewhere to get this done in the midlands? (I'm based just south of Leicester)

I did mine myself, although in Carbon effect. Not difficult at all...

I live in south Leicester, if you need someone to do them for you!

Wow, that looks amazing!

Where abouts in South Leicester are you? As someone else said, where did you buy the wrap from and does it come in many colours? (although I guess I can't go wrong with black as the shadow edition wheels basically look black)

I live in Littlethorpe.

This is the wrap I used:

You can get pretty much any colour wrap you want, just search Amazon or eBay!

Ha, you're really close - I'm only in Lutterworth.

I'll see if I can find some wrap and might give it a go myself... If It goes wrong I might be in touch for some help!

This would do, you want something that’s about 500mm wide. That should be enough to do the wing mirrors too.

You’ll need a sharp Stanley Knife, some scissors and a micro fibre cloth. A heat gun or hairdryer will help when doing the fins as you need to stretch the wrap quite a bit on the inside corners!
