I see they cost pretty much the same as an M2. It's a no-brainer to go for the M2.

Edit..... For people buying on PCP.

Nice cars like what they have done with them :)

Most people will be buying on PCP. It's pocket change difference between this and an M2 on PCP.

Obviously cash price there is a difference, but depreciation will still end up with similar losses

For me personally, M2 had no practicality - only 3 door - and insurance was double that of M140. then the tax difference is big.. it goes on.. so yeah, no brainer indeed

Insurance in personal. There has been a few examples on the forum where the M2 has cost less to insure than the Mlite. You'll obviously have to declare the modifications on this car which will also bump it up.

The extra £310 isn't good. It's still not a massive deal when running a car like this. £310 isn't much when you're suffering £5500 per year interest/depreciation before running costs.

I don't see why a coupe isn't practical? The rear seats are useable and the boot is bigger than the hatch. Unless you need to fold down the rear seat in the hatch for one large area, there's not much difference between going for a 3 door hatch or the coupe.

The Mlite has it's place as a great value for money car. I like mine. When there was a big price difference between the cars it was an easy decision. All the deals on the M2 now make it swing the other way.

The lease deals on offer are the only way to go for an Mlite at the moment. They are much cheaper than PCP deals.

would only push the price up further and 75% drivers might not know the difference.

it’s still an option if you want it

Just as a matter of interest if you were to hand the car back to BMW at the end of the PCP would you need to return the car back to standard?

each to their own. too much stacked up against the M2 for me... I already grudge my insurance premium, doubling it was not palatable
