I went for brushed aluminium with pearl chrome as my OCD couldn't cope with the dust and finger prints I saw on the gloss black in the show room.

All trims look lovely if I am honest. Very spoilt for choice. The gloss black is not a problem because you can just give it a wipe down :)

The only trim I really do not like is the wood effect. I am sure there are people that like this, but for me it is horrific. Not for this kind of car at all, and the fact it is a cost option baffles me. I have gone for the gloss black as I know from working with Aluminium it is so easy to scratch and it will stand out like crazy especially to those of us with a slight case of OCD. The issue with the gloss black is the dust and fingerprints but it is nothing a quick wipe down will not fix.

Gloss black gets hairline scratches like you would not believe! (so I am told)

Agree wood is a funny one for a car like this

Would these be possible to repair? We have this on our X1 but no scratches so far.

Brilliant choice mate. Glad to see this beauty.
I m waiting for my M140i LCI2 coming in early December.
I have also chosen mineral grey with jet black 719 wheels and gloss black interior trim.
Only difference is I will have 5 door version as 3 door is not available in Australia.
Cheers.

Visually it needs to come down a bit, a fatter rear tyre and the exhaust tips tucked in then I'll be happy.

So. Picked up my SO M140i yesterday from BMW Williams Stockport. Excellent experience can't fault them.

Got it home and did a full detail on it. Stunning colour.
