Hi, my DPF filter warning light came on the other day. there's nothing wrong with the DPF, it's just exceeded the 300000km (186000 mile) arbitrary lifetime limit imposed by BMW.
I've checked the DPF on Carly and the ash mass is only 66g so it's well within tolerances.
My question is, does anyone know how I can code the car to tell it that the DPF has been replaced? I checked on DIS v57, selected 'replacement diesel particulate filter' and it gives me an error - is there another way to do it?

Re: E8* Reset/Replace DPF Warning Light Due to Age.
10 minutes at Graham Martin BMW Specialists in St Helen's sorted the problem - the values were reset and no there's no warning light. This must have to be the most pointless warning light in a BMW.
