South Wales Users And Coding?

Post by NickCardiff » Tue Jun 27, 2017 10:54 pm

I'm looking to activate enhanced Bluetooth on my car for music streaming and wondered if there's any users in South Wales?

I've got the Bimmercode app and plan on using it to activate Enhanced Bluetooth too once I figure out which options to change. Could possibly meet up and code yours after using myself as the guinea pig haha. I'm from Cardiff too.

Have a look in the back and make sure you have a combox. I can't remember the date they were fitted to all cars, I think you'll be ok though. If you don't have one then enhanced Bluetooth can't be coded.

I'm from Cardiff too, and sorry to hijack your post but thought this would be the best place to ask this question: if I've got the standard head unit in mine atm and want to change to the business 1 with Bluetooth what coding would need to be done and is it a simple plug and play for most of the needed functions e.g. Radio CD Aux?

Didn't want to start a new thread for this, so thought I'd ask on here first.

Does anyone is/near Cardiff have DIS57?

I've bought cable shack d-can & DVD from someone on here about 2 years ago, but only just getting around to using it - new battery installed.

However, the DIS install fails and as I didn't buy direct from cable shack, figured they wouldn't help (although not asked).

Don't really fancy paying for another copy of for a carlyapp etc when I have what should work already.

Admittedly, my laptop is ancient and runs hot even when not under load, but it does run win XP and everything else ther than DIS seems to have installed fine.

Can I use something else already bundled with cable shack stuff to do it?
