Bimmercode folding mirrors.

Post by groovechild » Thu Jul 20, 2017 11:05 pm

Greetings all,
I have folding mirrors and electric front chairs, but not comfort access and like alot of people my mirrors don't fold with my keyfob so I would like to know if bimmercode coding would enable me to fold my mirrors, wind my windows up and close my convertible roof with my keyfob basically all of the functions that come with comfort access?

Thanks 👍🏻

Hi groovechild,

I have a 2016 120d M-Sport, that I specified electric folding mirrors.

for them to fold, you lock the car, and keep the button pressed for a few seconds, until they fold, have you tried this,

if you lock the car and keep the button pressed, this should start to close the windows too, keep the button pressed until the windows are closed.

if you unlock the car, and keep the unlock button pressed, this should open the windows, until you let go of the button.

have a try and let me know

Kind Regards

Shane

Hi Shane and thank you for your reply.
Yes, I've tried all of your suggestions and the only one that works is the windows going down everything else doesn't work.
Any other ideas are welcome. 🙏🏼

It is disabled on convertibles unless you have Comfort Access.

Hi Wibbles,

Is this something you can code in; despite it being locked out by BMW? I have swapped the M235i coupe for a convertible, i have the same issue and it's driving me mad!! The fact you can have this if you have Comfort Access, suggets it possible to at least make the mirrors fold on the key, even better remote the roof?

Cheers

Not as far as I know - I've tried many times but even when changing the coding to fold the mirrors they do not code, sorry.

Its the same with the 4 Series convertible, I've successfully set folding mirrors on mine and a mates 430d coupe so went to do it for a couple of others at work thinking it would be the same but nope, even a new 17 plate 435d with comfort access wouldn't fold mirrors on normal lock after setting it with Bimmercode. Any ideas why BMW do this differently on the vert?

It's because the FEM midule does not control everything like on a tin-top version, some functions are held in the comfort access ECU.
