Coding Cruise control

Post by Jonny D » Thu Sep 24, 2015 10:32 am

Hi folks,

I'm new to this forum so apologies if this has been covered before or there is a more appropriate section but I'm wanting to code cruise control in place of the limiter.

BMW M135i purchased Aug 2015.

Is there anyone in the Staffordshire/ Cheshire area that could do this?

Cheers

It's not a case of just coding, you need to replace the LIM button with a different set of switches that have the Cruise control buttons, then it can be coded.

Get on the phone to Cotswolds for the part then PM me regarding the coding if you are unable to find someone local.

Thanks for your help, I didn't realise I needed to replace the buttons too. I thought it may of been an option to revise the LIM one. Cotswold want £179 for the part and then I'll need to get it fitted. It might end up being a new year job!!!

Thanks again for the info, much appreciated.

It's a piece of cake to fit. There is a guide on here for how to remove the airbag.

The coding requires a £20 cable, so £200 for cruise control.

Actually that's not too bad, I was concerned the cost would spiral!!

I'll take at the fitting later tonight, thanks again

I can code it for you once installed, or have cables for sale if you want to crack it yourself. Live near Preston.
