Reading post #29 its bizzare that F45 218i petrol has the graphic and COLD/OK temperature status on MFD and I drive and yet N55 F2x does not !!!

218i gets the new series of engines B38. I also have this engine but no coolant temp graph. :banghead:

I tried but got no readings on the KOMBI.

As I said, it's a software issue, perhaps BMW will resolve the shortcomings in a future update. Sorry guys.

Dragging this one back out again - has anyone tried this on a M140 or M240 yet to see if it reacts any better?

its working on cars with B gasoline engines, so it should be working on the new m140/240.

Unfortunately not. Just changed BC_MOTORTEMP_ENABLE to Activ and it shows the guage but the needle stays fixed to the left and reads "Cold" even when car is fully up to temperature. Must be more than just that to change to get it to work - will investigate further and report back if/when I resolve it.

I'm guessing no one got anywhere with this? Such a shame that the majority of the work has gone into creating this gauge by BMW, but yet it is not available
