Voice control also works with Android and Business Nav (it uses Google Now)

I actually think it's better than Siri which won't use the internet or YouTube while you're driving.

Thanks - does that work over USB only, or can it use BT?

It works over BT.

I have both Android and iPhone and think the Android inplemenatation is better - i.e. you can say "Open YouTube and play xxxxx" It has full Google Now functionality. Siri won't do any of that whilst you're driving. Just mutters something about not being able to use the internet.

Found out today whilst my car was in for the infamous exhaust rattle and my service paperwork was left on the desk that the FEM error codes that display after coding certain items with bimmercode are logged and retained on the ecu!
There was a nice list of them showing on the report all coinciding with the day I coded some options onto my car.

The guys on the service desk didn't mention them but thought it was worth pointing out as I assume there's a way to clear fault codes off?

Damn! Alright thanks for the info.

Does this mean carly is my only option then? Or go to an independant garage that can do coding?

I suspect you have the option of using ESYS on a laptop with a cable.

I found this cable - however it says in description it only works for F series on 1 series?

Or will this also fit?

I've never used esys so not best placed to advise, but Wibbles is the resident expert and also can remotely code your requirements (for a fee, which I understand to be very reasonable). He also provides very good advice for free on the forum.

Anyone know if it's possible to remove the 'recommended' gear indicator when in manual mode (Auto box)? I thought I saw a setting for it in the app, but can't find it now.
