I believe it's December for the 5 door, not sure if it's different for the 3 door.

You can't get a 3 door until next year now. Will be ordering my 3door shadow edition in couple of months to get it hopefully by march 2018. 🙃

We have negotiated with BMW to enable us to secure more 5 door M140 for October and November delivery.
3 doors are built in very low numbers for the UK market (reason being that the rest of the 3 door range sells in small numbers)
so we still don't expect to have these until December/January.

Tony, Are there any of those 5 door shadow lines still available for October/November delivery?

Apologies if this has been covered previously on another thread but what exactly do you get if you spec adaptive lights on an M140i? The video that accompanies the option on the BMW configurator seems to be identical to the one that appears against (for example) the Icon Adaptive Headlight option on the 340i; however, I have it in my mind the adaptive option on the 1-series isn't the same (e.g. it doesn't split the beam to look around the car in front) so can someone in the know please confirm?

The price differential - £745 on a 340i but only £495 on the M140i - suggests the options aren't identical with those on the latter presumably not being the full-blown "dancing headlights" you get on the 3-series?

Hi Buddy. Adaptives on the M140 literally only offer you the left to right motion of the dipped/main beam when turning the steering wheel
and also the low level cornering light when turning into junctions plus you get the Hi Beam Assist of course. As you say they are not the full
dancing ones as per the 3 and 4 hence the lower price.

Oh and instead of saying just BMW on the edge of the lens, it says Adaptive LED....... :P

Thanks Tony, suspected that was the case! Going back a dozen years or so I had adaptive xenons on an E46 coupe and to be honest I didn't think the adaptive function added a great deal (IMO the vast majority of the benefit over the standard lights came from having the xenons). Therefore, on that basis I don't think I'd bother with adaptive lights on a 1-series as it sounds more akin to the E46 set-up than that on the F3x.

However, sticking with the adaptive theme, what's your feeling on the benefit of adaptive suspension on the M140i? Some people seem to think it's almost a must have but others seem to be of the view it's not worth it and if you want to improve the standard suspension you'd be better putting the money towards an upgrade from someone like ACS or Birds. What's the view of the people on here?!

I think that based on what the real cost per month is if taking out a PCP, its almost a no brainer.
Any benefit to lighting is a plus.
Adaptive LED Headlights.....+£4.66pm (GFV inc £266)

Also we are about to start a collab with Motech, and plan to offer a fast road pack on new M140 to include
their Eibach springs and spacers.... not yet told anyone about that.

Sounds great - will this be on new car orders only, or will you offer aftermarket?

Would it be in writing that this would not affect BMW warranty, or that Berry would resolve any issues following these upgrades?

Maybe someone will know the answer, if not I'll wait for Tony to reply.

Can the MPE be added as an option or does this have to be fitted after the car is delivered?
Gone - 135i M Sport DCT, Just picked up - SO M140i Shadow Edition
