I'm very interested in this deal. Would having these options put me into the higher tax band as I don't want to be paying £450 a year for tax. So the options I would like is as follows: Sports Auto, metallic, orbit alloys, HFS, Cruise with Brake, HK Sound, Front PDC and Pro Media. These are my minimum requirements, I've already taken the likes of adaptive suspension, reverse camera, folding mirrors etc off. I hope someone here could help as this will be my first BMW and I've only just managed to talk the mrs into it Image
You can use the configuator on the BMW web site to check the list prices including options. These are OTR prices so include first year tax. Therefore for an auto I think you need to keep the total price below £40500 - first year tax on the auto is £500. I think your options listed above bust the threshold by approx a couple of hundred quid.
Yeah I used the online configurator and it had gone over by a couple of hundred which is majorly annoying. Would you say HK sound is worth it over the BMW advanced sound?

Yes HK is essential - scrap any of the infortainmemt stuff like Apple Pay or concierge as you can pay for them from the car after collection

This calculator is great and shows the Threshold.
Is HK sound a must.... my current Bmw has standard which is not great however it’s what the car has and it does. I could easily fit a far better custom system for the money of HK. Advanced is meant to be a fair improvement over standard. Having said that it sounds like the implementation in the 1/2 series is pretty poor. Any car that puts both the left and right channel directly into the centre shows a lack of knowledge about audio quality full stop.

The monthly cost for adaptive lights seems to have increased quite a bit and is a lot more than on the M140i; is that because the LCI version of the M240i now gets the full "dancing headlights" set-up with adaptive whereas the M140i doesn't?

Not sure if they are full dancing, but they are indeed the ICON hex pattern so probably do... someone will need to drive one and confirm it.

Yes it is.
Working on assumption that every £1000 is £22pm.

SO an MPE is £925 fitted, thus around £20pm

LSD is £2650 fitted so around £58pm

So my local dealer can't get to your prices (surprise, surprise!) Thus my order will be coming in.

If I want a car for March, when should I be looking at ordering?

Cheers!

Ideally before end of December to secure the current deal and have a car arrive in time

Does anyone have any idea if there is going to be an M240i shadow edition released next year?

Cheers

Nothing has been confirmed but it would make sense to me... but I doubt it will happen much before September.
