I can do the same on M3 however the model is almost finished so there are very few build slots left. I may have a fire orange M3 due any moment.
I don't see why we cannot get an M4 in fire orange now... the lead time is long though. could take 5 months before you would see it if you order one now
Well looks like i'm keeping my M4 until the end of the agreement despite putting 10 into the deal. Interesting how my car is worth 10k more than the offer come end of contract. Like the bookies there is only one winner, and it isn't the punter. The offer is pretty good, pity the M4 CP isn't.
What's the problem with the M4 Comp if you don't mind me asking?
I'm debating buying an M3 and can't decide to whether to go for the standard F80 or the Comp pack. Yours is the second comment this week I've seen expressing dissatisfaction with the CP, whereas all the YT videos rave about them.
Nothing is wrong with it. Sounds like sour grapes from someone who doesn't like the depn . Its a fabulous car but be very clear that you will lose £s on this car vey quickly. BMW have flooded the market recently and the trade in on your car the day after you buy it will be around £45k. It's a fact. I'm in the same position as I bought a fully specced £70k pre-reg for £54k in Dec'17 (£5k down and £615 pm and £28k balance with 8k miles pa) and I'm now having to change car due to job and taking a £10k hit with less then 3k miles on the clock.
You take your choices and this one is a great choice - particularly if you can hold on to it for longer than I did
Yep. Sounds a fair shout. I bought my M2 for £46K and got a £30K GFV over 3 years. Happy with that.
Basically its the law of supply and demand.... BMW closely protected the distribution of M2 to the point that they hardly lose money. So the finance guys feel buoyant and give it a decent GFV.
then BMW go and build as many M4 as they can and dealers discount them, fleets get silly PCH deals like £399pm and before you know it in
3 years time the market is flooded with cars pushing used car prices down, pushing guide prices down and thus the guys in finance who set the
residuals get cold feet and put lower and lower GFV on new cars.
Its even worse if you look at say the 640d Gran coupe.... that's £70K new but you can negotiate almost £25K off so end up with a GFV of only
£25K over 3 years.
So close to jumping on this...10k discount and 0% doesn't come around often.
Hard work trying to convince the missus tho, but I think I'm almost there...why can't they just understand?
We're in the middle of a house build and her latest arm twist was..." If I LET you get the M4,..I'm picking everything for the house when we decorate and furnish!!"

I've finally sold my car, and feeling quite excited about putting down my order. Think Tony is on a busman's holiday at the mo, but the waiting.... lol
So tempted with this offer. If you place the order in September, When is the latest you can pick it up? 30th December? (I am in Australia until mid December)
Its between an M2 Competition and the M4 CP.
Out of curiosity, when is the new shape m4 due out? 2019/2020?

I realise you're on a break, but is there any chance you can find out re the current power output on the M4 Comp.
FWIW the M5 Comp isn't listing as a power increase either.
