Re: TRL own M140 project

Whilst the rear spoiler is being painted I thought it only right to start the running in process. so took the car home for a few days and have
literally been finding any excuse to go out and drive it. I cannot believe how much better and smoother it is than the old M135. I am pleased I went for the sports auto now too.... was not sure I would enjoy it as much as the manual.
Its a lot quieter in comfort mode but equally the step up in sports mode is much more marked. I can actually feel the more hunkered down Adaptive Suspension, the steering weight (I wont pretend its got "feel") and the exhaust comes to life.
I had Matt Finish detail it for me a few days ago, and we will be running a feature on how he prepared it soon, so you guys can decide if he is the man for your new car.
(Rear Spoiler to follow).... and no, I don't have the first MPE in the country, they are my mate Bhav's old 440 exhaust tips (don't tell him)...

Hhmm tasty...they do look good in AW.

When you have the spoiler fitted get him to remove the model designation, will look so much better imo..
Just another 1series. :)

Really seems quite reasonable compared to £700, and they sent a couple of pictures which look absolutely incredible! Will try and add them later on...
They are only half an hour from work and can fit an exchange in 30 mins they say; so that's me sorted then!
Yeah... I'll be getting it done as well. I've asked about a forum discount... :D

I just called them because I want the same. They have exchange wheels hence the 30 mins. But, the new leather goes on top of the existing so the rim will be fatter. 1mm more they say. Hmmm... what do you guys think?

Interesting view on the new engine Tony especially as you weren't convinced by the B58 in the 3/4 series. Out of interest how does it feel better etc?

I do find it a bit too polished, but then its early days and maybe the zorst muffle needs to breakdown a bit.
it does pull much cleaner than I remember. but a lot of the progression is felt in the chassis in my opinion.
there is a much bigger step between the comfort setting and the sport setting for example.
