Also worth mentioning to people interested in this GB that if you unplug the standard exhaust valve it stops the sound symposer from functioning. So you would either have to bridge it out so the car thinks it is still there or just not worry about it.

Have you fitted any of the version 2s yet?, do they sound, feel, and work just the same as the original version ?, thankyou, Simon.
If I'm not mistaken the car pictured below with it fitted looks like Performance Developments (Sedox) M135i which has it fitted?

Pretty sure my symposer is still working despite the valve now disconnected...

Ahh fair enough, before i got my BMWMP exhaust i unplugged my standard exhaust valve for a few days to see if it made any noticeable difference (it didn't). During that time my symposer definitely stopped working. To be fair it doesn't really matter anyway as the louder BCS exhaust negates the need for the symposer.

I dont think the symposer would stop working, im sure the electric plug going to the exhaust, is just to open the valve ?, but i suppose these things are technical these days.

Edd,

I'd be up for ordering a later 4" catted DP if I knew they were in stock/confirmed delivery time.

The DP sent to me by Sedox was for earlier smaller type. Have been waiting (literally) months for Sedox/PD to change it but no joy todate. Patience wearing thin.

Nige @ BCS - are later catted DPs available from BCS direct for the GB price yet ?

Has anybody gone on a track day with the BCS exhaust and had peak noise measured?

Or, has anybody measured theirs with a noise level app on their phone?

I'm planning on doing a few track days - they could get a bit funny once the powervalve opens on full boost!

Thanks!
Forgot BCS was part of that battle - guess I'll have to go on track days where the limit is 105 dba.

I've got a full BCS and decat on mine, when I do get the chance to stamp on it, sounds acceptable for track use
