I used to own a 911 turbo with the factory X50 kit (its listed on the supercar page on Evo - so think it just about counts!). Anyway... when you have a car that quick, you don't actually have anything to prove to anyone as you know your quicker, so was never embarrased as never actually bothered to race anyone.

I do have a video somewhere in Germany mind where me and my mate in his 458 nailed it from a rolling start, filmed by another mate in his E92 M3 - and he was foot to the floor and we disappeared into the distance :)
Yep, soon gets tiresome. Though driving a Porsche down the motorway is like the parting of the red sea, most people just move out the way. Except young boys in their souped up hot hatch.

I've burned a Maserati GT and a Bentley Cont GT recently and was surprised.
Not going to do the "you only race when you have a slow car thing" like everyone else but I destroyed a couple of M2's in my 135i at Spa on Monday

Then someone offered me 12k for it, (bought it for 5k and spent about 7) so I would break even, and get rid of all the problems, he was going to use it for a drift car anyway so didn't care too much about the condition (I didn't question why he was spending so much just to ruin it drifting) but I thought it was probably the best decision at the time,

HOW WRONG I WAS - I miss that car more than anything in the world! I even contacted the guy to buy it back, but he had crashed it, brought a tear to my eye

And that's the story of my skyline, will probably get another in the future but don't have the time for that at the moment!
Come to the South Croydon BabyBMW meet on Saturday midday if you can - it's just a small meet...maybe 10 people. We will have a Skyline there and maybe some other nice Japanese cars (NSX, Mugen). It could be therapy for your loss.

Sorry for going off-topic.
I would love to.... but I have already committed to an Ikea trip with the missus for our new apartment, not sure she would be too happy about me skipping on that for a car meet

Who needs a bed anyway?! THERE'S A SKYLINE ABOUT
Ikea on a Saturday morning? Are you mad??? Go in the evening. Much more chill

Yes; today I met a shiny new McLaren at a roundabout and he must have been embarrassed as his was clean and he was driving very gently and mine looked like a fly grave yard having been exercised pretty fully! Have I got the right gist of the thread? 😳

I asked this Porsche if she was expecting a Cayman or a Boxster, but allegedly she wasn't pregnant.
