M2 Servicing Costs?

Post by HN1989x » Fri Jan 12, 2018 5:20 pm

I’ve just taken the plunge and placed my order on the M2 :) expecting delivery sometime in March..

Does anyone know how much servicing will cost? The first service and second service really.. Search doesn’t seem to bring anything up for me other than RIS.

I’m wondering if the service pack is worth it. £999 for 3 years hardly sounds like a bargain to me.

Especially as I only travel about 4000 miles each year!

Nice!

At 4,000 per year I think you're only going to get the RIS, one engine/pollen filter service at 24 months (£300-ish), and brake fluid at 36 months. Doesn't sound like a bargain to me either!

The second engine service at roughly 36,000 / 48 months is the expensive one (£600-ish), as it includes quite a bit of over-priced labour to change the spark plugs (rear pair are buried).

I´m surprised to learn you guys don´t get free service for the first 3 years or 5k miles whichever comes first.
I always thought that was a universal BMW-thing.

In our dreams! We get charged for the RIS at 1200 miles and that’s a whopping £250-£300 already!
