Service Pack still worth it?

Post by jd14 » Sat Mar 03, 2018 9:25 pm

Evening chaps,
Collecting my new M2tomorrow and debating whether to get the service pack or not,
Is the 3 year service pack worth it if you cover under 10k a year? I know the running in service is about £300 alone, are there any other benefits to th pack?
Thank you
Jas

I didn't go for it and I'm doing less than 8k a year, RIS was £270 but any saving is small in my eyes. Not what they once were for the £££.

Mind telling where you were quoted that little? That's easily £60 less than what I've been quoted. Cheers.

My local stealer, Laceby. I mentioned the price a local specialist had quoted and they matched it near as makes no difference to keep the car with them.

Is it still £999 for 3 years? If it is and you won’t have done 36000 miles it’s unlikely to save you any money. RIS is about £300, 1st service at 2 years or 18k approx is £400, if you get the 2nd service at approx 4 years or 36k in before the pack expires at 3 years it makes sense as I think that’s the £650 one.

In your case it looks unlikely you will hit 36k in 3 years

I paid £253 for my RIS at Rybrook Warwick.

F80 M3 - even more toys - gone!

Did you have to barter for that or that was just what they invoiced? When was this if you dont mind?

No, I just asked them as North Oxford (where I bought my M2) didn't want to budge below £300.

Ironically, an oil service for our M135i at the time was £265 - for figure.

This was about 5 months ago.
