German kw blog press release: https://blog-de.kwautomotive.net/jetzt- ... ur-bmw-m2/

The BMW M2 is one of the sportiest vehicles in the compact class and, moreover, absolutely honest. What the M2 already offers from the factory with its strong inline six-cylinder turbo, rear-wheel drive and wide track to sportiness in its class is for many performance-oriented customers in the long run but then too sporty in everyday life.

Since there is no option for an adaptive M chassis in the M2 ex factory, as in the BMW M3 and BMW M4, we have developed the electronically controlled KW DDC ECU coilover kit as a retrofit solution.

At the touch of a button, it gives the M2 either more driving comfort or maximum sportiness for the road. In the KW mode "Sport +" give the KW damper the BMW a direct and genuine driving behavior, a setup, ideal for demanding rides on winding roads with many load changes. The M2 drives so even more precise and yawns for a sporty driving style.

In "Sport" mode, the steering precision is also extremely sporty, but the suspension dampens more comfortable; Depending on the road surface, it can also provide better grip - perfect for fast driving on the highway with long curves and transverse joints. On poorly developed country roads, the "Comfort" mode provides much more comfort than the standard chassis

In comfort mode, the KW dampers not only operate with a comfort-oriented identification, but the DDC suspension control unit adjusts the dampers automatically to the respective driving situation. At the touch of a button, the DDC coilover kit changes to different damper settings.

Via app, drivers can even set their own setups via smartphone, regardless of the front and rear axle. The infinitely variable damper setting makes it possible, either from the maximum comfort identification with a very soft damping (displayed in the app with 0%) up to the tautest damper setup (in the app with 100% indicated) the dampers individually on the own claims and To tune preferences.

Depending on the self-programmed setup, the BMW M2 reacts even more comfortably than in the "Comfort" mode or the damping rate works even tighter than in the "Sport +" tuning. Of course, anyone who has found his perfect, personal setup for the BMW can save it. Vehicle specific, the KW DDC App has a safety-relevant control area and for five own votes storage locations are available. The stored damper settings can be shared via e-mail.

As well as the KW Clubsport available for the BMW M2 and the KW Variant 3 coilovers, the KW DDC ECU coilover suspension made of stainless steel is also street legal for the M2. Stepless lowering takes place directly on the stainless steel strut via the dirt-resistant trapezoidal thread.

Within the scope of the parts report, the adjustment range of the level control is 15-40 mm at the front axle and 20-45 mm at the drive axle via the rear axle height adjustment.

From mid-April 2018, the KW DDC ECU coilover kit will be available for the BMW M2. When purchasing and installing with the certified KW dealer, the KW-5-year additional warranty can be applied for.
